Over the weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of taking family portraits of one of my co-workers from Cathedral – The Farley Fam! This was such a fun session, and I’m glad I was able to capture these images for this family.
I met Lisa at Cathedral High School, where I started working over 3 years ago. We work in different departments, but because I work in technology, I respond to requests from all different departments of the school. I’ve worked with Lisa on various things many different occasions, and she’s always been so sweet to me. One day we were chatting in my office and she found out that I’m also a photographer! She said she would be interested in working together for a family portrait session, which I was of course happy to do!
A couple weeks later, she called me and booked her date. I asked her how many people would be in this session, which she told me would be 6 adults, THREE dogs, and a baby. Now, a session of this type is a first for me, so, needless to say, I was nervous.
When I arrived at the Farley home, I was full of jitters, but I was greeted by Steve Farley, and their adorable chocolate lab, Winnie. Well, dogs are my favorite beings on this planet, so that instantly calmed me down. I was then greeted by other members of the family, and TWO MORE dogs – Pickles and Murphy (or lovingly known as “Murph”). I got to meet Patrick, the adorable grandchild of the family. He had such a happy face on, which makes my job SO easy!
We started our session out in front of their gorgeous home. We snapped a couple of great shots, and then decided to move to their back yard. There, we got a few more gorgeous images, and then moved to a greener part of their yard. The funniest part of the shoot was when they put antlers on their pups, of which I got some hilarious (but oh so adorable) snaps of the dogs by themselves.
This was a great session and I’m so thankful that Lisa allowed me to be the photographer.
Merry Christmas everyone!
