Hey everyone! Boy, do I have an awesome wedding for you to read about and enjoy! Today I am sharing with you, Gwen & Alan’s PERFECT wedding at the Blanton House in Danville! This was my first time shooting at this venue, but it was truly beautiful and the most perfect setting for their wedding day!
When I arrived for the day, I was greeted by the most amazing ceremonial florals EVER! Better yet, I found out that Gwen put these together and I was so “WOW’d”! The lovely lavendar accents were just so pretty! Then I found Gwen getting ready in one of the prettiest getting ready rooms ever. Like, the walls were a light blue with GLITTER. But it was a super cool subtle glitter and added a nice touch to the room. Gwen was so peaceful and calm when I walked in, and was getting started on her hair & makeup. The one thing I noticed so much during the day was how much Gwen &Alan love and adore their family. They are so important to them and that was something I thought very heartwarming.
When it was time for the first look, I got Alan into position, and then brought his STUNNING bride out. Well, apparently he thought she was stunning too because when he turned around, he became emotional in the most precious way. When their eyes met, he got the biggest smile on his face and they embraced each other. You could feel the love between them.
From there, the day continues to be total perfection. They both wrote their own vows, which made me cry (totally not embarrassing at all). During the family portraits, we actually got a small rain shower, and you know what they say about rain on your wedding day!
Gwen, Alan, and their family, danced the night away and I had the pleasure and honor of capturing it all.
Mr. & Mrs. Skillern – I wish you so much love and happiness in your lives, and I truly hope we see each other again
