My very last wedding of 2021 ended the year with a total BANG. This Great Gatsby wedding at Omni Severin hotel in downtown Indy – on New Years Eve – was so fun, and closed out my year in the best way possible.

Lauren & Alex are two of the sweetest people ever. Together as a couple, it’s so clear that they’re meant for each other. We initially connected through my previous job. My boss told Lauren’s dad (who is the Athletic Director of Cathedral High School) that I was also a wedding photographer, and the rest is history! I instantly connected with Lauren when I met with her over video call, and knew this was a wedding I really wanted to capture.

When these two were in front of my camera at their engagement session, they were playful and adventurous. We hiked a bit around Fort Harrison State Park. Lauren and Alex had no problem getting in the water, splashing each other, and genuinely having a fun time. I learned so much about them during this time, and loved them even more.

On their wedding day, Lauren was calm, but excited. Everything was coming together beautifully, and I just knew these two were ready to tie the knot.

They had a stunning ceremony at St. John’s the Evangelist. Their faces as they were recessing down the aisle after saying their “I do’s” said it all. They were so happy and excited to finally be husband and wife.

The new Mr. & Mrs. partied the night away in a lavish reception in the grand ballroom at the Omni Severin. From the speeches that tugged at my heart strings, to the amazing energy of the live band, I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my New Years Eve any other way.
